Fees


Thirroul Medical Practice is a private billing practice.  It is the policy of Thirroul Medical Practice that payment for your consultation is made on the day.

Fees may be paid by cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card or Cheque.  We can transmit your claim electronically to Medicare to receive your rebate.

Please ensure Medicare have your bank details for this to occur.  If Medicare does not have your bank details, please complete this form and send to Medicare.

Workers compensation, third party & other medical consults not covered by Medicare are payable in full on the day, as per Work Cover Rates.

Thirroul Medical Practice reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if an appointment is not cancelled by the patient within 2 hours of the appointment time.

Your Doctor will advise the reception staff as to the appropriate billing item for your consultation at each visit. Please discuss any financial hardships with the Doctor, your health and wellbeing is important.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Patients are billed directly to DVA. Please present your card to reception on arrival.

Our Doctors may bulk bill Aged Pensioners and Health Care Card holders.  Please present your card to reception on arrival.
